Support

With Xero's all-in-one accounting software, you are able to run your business with flexible, cloud-based financial management, effortless expense tracking, and custom reports for smarter insights into your business operations.

You can easily sync your business' bank transactions, raise invoices and capture bills from phone or email; you get real-time cashflow reports and can store all your documents online for easy access and much more.

So far so good, but are you busy running your business and feel that you need someone you can trust to manage your business' book-keeping needs?

Or can you manage your own book-keeping but sometimes need a bit of professional help when things get behind or don't seem to 'add up'?

At Oblako, we offer a complete book-keeping service from £250 per month plus VAT, or alternatively ad hoc services from £45 per hour.

You can add on payroll management to Xero and the Oblako service provision too.

Both Xero and Oblako are dedicated to helping you to get the most out of your accounting software with free seminars, advice and hands on assistance.

We are not just about accounting, it's all about smarter business.

Tax Issues

From April 2026, Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self-Assessment (known as MTD for ITSA) will impact sole traders and landlords whose annual income is over £50,000 and this will be the biggest change that small businesses, including landlords, have ever seen. Keep up to date here.

~

Simple Assessment is a way for HMRC to collect underpayments of tax from taxpayers with relatively straightforward tax affairs.

Using information held it will calculate the tax owed or due to be refunded and send the calculation, usually in July and August, to taxpayers. You have 30 days from the date of the letter to appeal if you don't agree, or three months from that date to pay what is owed.

Has HMRC sent you any other sort of letter which looks troubling, does it mention a tax determination or legislation that you have never heard of, for example Managed Service Company legislation (MSC) and you don't understand what the problem is?
